Bradford has one of the UK’s highest concentrations of people likely to have been descended from WW1 Indian Muslim soldiers.
Working with Cartwright Hall, Bradford’s Muslim and non-Muslim communities worked together to collectively explore this heritage, through presentations and exhibitions and working with a WW1 historian.
These young people then went on to receive training and conduct interviews with local descendants of Muslim WW1 soldiers.
This group worked with a local Bradford rapper to produce a video in which they reflect on how WW1 should be remembered.
The video will be launched at the beginning of November ahead of Remembrance month.
